Visibility of IXP-based hijacks in public route collectors

Objective

We test the feasibility of performing hijacks at Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) without those hijacks appearing in public route collectors. The goal is to measure visibility blind spots in today's BGP monitoring infrastructure: understanding where route collectors fail to observe a hijack is a prerequisite for improving routing-security detection and defenses.
